Installed, upgraded and supported OEM software used to standardize, validate, match and merge business street addresses on client data. Designed and wrote batch and online solutions to applications problems.
Real Estate Information Division Anaheim, CA (1989 to 1997) Lead Programmer Analyst tasked to maintain 800+ frequently changing online and batch programs written in IBM Assembler language and COBOL required to process real/personal property data, building characteristics files, assessor maps and current real estate sales transactions from over 300 US county assessor offices and other varied state, county and private agency data sources. Position required a detailed working knowledge of all files (including all 15 Nevada and all 58 California counties) to convert them into common formats to be used in various batch and online database applications and products.
Reason for Leaving: Position eliminated as part of several rounds of layoffs of hundreds of personnel during a company-wide Reduction In Force and changes in technology.

Senior systems and applications Programmer Analyst involved in development and maintenance of batch and online tariff rating system and an automated freight distribution and tracking system controlling the arrival, clearing and delivery of ground and air freight world-wide. Applications were written in ALC, COBOL with CICS using VSAM. Monitored and directed four applications programmers in similar areas of programming.
Reason for Leaving: Citicorp bought ACAI's software and after expected revenues failed to develop it dissolved the formed company.

Reason for Leaving: Once conversion project hired to lead successfully concluded saw no career path for future advancement.

Napa, California Applications/Systems programmer on a batch/online system that used real estate and personal property data from state, county and private firms in seven western states. Lead designer and programmer for numerous in-house developed applications including a customer account billing and inventory control and distribution system. Supervised programmer in similar functions.
Reason for Leaving: Competition bought company and shut it down. One of two employees, of the 70+ dismissed, offered a position with Miami, Florida firm that took over.
