Domain Name

A domain name is basically a name that has been chosen to represent a web page, most commonly the homepage of a website. For example, you are currently at the 1click4help.com domain. In actuality a domain name is a label, which refers to one or more IP (Internet Protocol) address numbers, that were assigned by a domain name registry organization when a website's owner registered his or her site.  An IP address is essentially a company's Internet business street address.  It tells computer programs that are used to aid in surfing the Internet where to find the web pages of a website.
